The Process is the Result

“Failure is the only information you need.”

THE ART OF TAKING ACTION
Through our own creative ventures over the years, we found that we tend to wait for clarity before taking action. We wait around for full assurance and a clear path toward success when in reality, you often get clarity as a result of taking action. The work reveals itself as you go. There will always be an excuse that can be created to convince you to hold off on your dream and avoid the risk of potential failure. You have to kill excuses or they will kill you. Failure is the information you need to get to where you’re going. There are no prescriptions or how-to’s in achieving success. You can read Steve Job’s biography. You can watch Kanye West’s documentary. But every individual’s path is different. There are no paid courses or get rich quick schemes that will work for you. It’s probably just someone looking to get rich off of you.

What you produce does not always have to be extravagant or even make money right away, but it does have to benefit people. So, let’s start there: what can you offer with your unique skill set? Are you intelligent? Engaging? Are you organized? Creative? Ok great! Now, what can you do to share those attributes with the world? People have needs, and they assign value to the individuals who meet those needs.

Your personality = your personal reality. It’s easy to talk yourself into inaction and fool yourself into thinking that you don’t have relevant skills to offer the world. Stepping into your creative element will require changing the way you think of yourself and the environment around you. So as you operate this week, speak positivity to yourself and block out the negative outlets that let doubt and fear creep into your mind. Meditate on affirming thoughts and let them shape your reality for the better.

IT’S TIME TO EXPERIMENT
SEEDS starts with “social experimentation”. And experimentation always starts with a question. Every venture, idea, or ambition requires opening yourself to a new journey of discovery. It’s natural to feel an inner resistance toward this level of vulnerability. After all, we are creatures of habit who seek comfort and certainty in life. And it’s incredibly comfortable knowing that as long as you don’t create anything, then nobody can attack it. But playing it safe is rarely ever fulfilling in the long run.

So here’s our challenge for you this week: focus less on the fears and external risks. Focus more on recognizing the seeds that spark excitement inside of you. Spend time thinking through these seeds and contemplating how they can be cultivated into valuable offerings for those around you. If it brings you excitement, there’s a good chance it has the potential to bring excitement to others as well.
